Autumn-Winter Tips for your Driveway/Patio
Autumn, the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness, can be a beautiful time of year. But those gorgeous russet leaves falling from the trees can spell problems for your driveway or patio if left to mulch down.
Leaf litter left on block paving and patio slabs slowly rots down to form a lovely base for the growth of mosses and weeds.
So, now is the time to get that stiff patio broom out and sweep up that leaf litter and give it a gentle hose down afterwards. Not only that, we would also recommend that you take this opportunity to treat the driveway with a proprietary moss killer (just ensure no rain or frost is forecast for 12-24 hours or so after treatment).
This little bit of effort put in now could well save you a lot of hard work come spring time as the moss and weeds would otherwise start to get going.
